How I Edit My Portraits

Wednesday, March 25, 2020 | By: Kirk Pullen Photography

This is an older senior portrait photo that I recently edited. This particular portrait took several hours of editing to get the desired look. I use a dodge and burn method and a few other tools to edit skin details. There are many methods to get skin to look great in Photoshop, but not all of them leave details in the skin. Not having details in the skin, can make the skin look like plastic or unrealistic. This photo was a senior portrait that I took several years ago. My editing style has changed over the years, so I like to go back and edit older photos when I find the time.
