Recently, I spent the day working with local builder Cameron Mitchell, photographing his beautiful custom-built homes across North Carolina, including sites in Wayne County, Goldsboro, Pikeville, and Walnut Creek. Cameron wanted a fresh collection of images for his website, showcasing the quality and craftsmanship that go into each of his projects.

We started early and spent the day driving from site to site, visiting around a dozen homes in all. Every stop was a chance to see Cameron’s attention to detail up close, from the clean lines and thoughtful layouts to the finishing touches that make each home unique.

In addition to traditional photography, I also captured drone photos and video, giving Cameron a dynamic way to highlight his work from above. The aerial shots really helped show off the scale of the properties and the care that goes into each home site.

Cameron was great to work with, professional, easygoing, and patient while I got the shots he needed. Along the way, I had the opportunity to meet a few homeowners who were proud to share their finished spaces. They were genuinely pleased with Cameron’s work and graciously allowed us to photograph their homes.

We also stopped by several of his rental apartments, which were well above the standard for rentals, thoughtfully designed, beautifully maintained, and just as impressive as his custom homes.

It was a full day, but a rewarding one. There’s something special about photographing the results of someone’s hard work and vision, and Cameron’s craftsmanship speaks for itself.
